My house needs repairs. Does the city offer a program to help?
Yes. The City of New Braunfels provides grant funding to the Comal County Senior Citizens' Foundation for the Minor Home Repair program. This program is for those who live within the city limits, who are low-income and the homes are owner-occupied. Call (830) 629-4547 for information.

Does the City offer down payment assistance to first-time homebuyers?
Not at this time. Grants are availaible through the Texas Department of Housing & Community Affairs. Please call (512) 475-2120 or visit their website.

I need help with utility and/or mortgage payments. Can the City help me?
We do not have grants to cover delinquent mortgage or utility payments. You may call the Salvation Army at (830) 608-9129 for assistance.

I need emergency or low-income housing. Does the City provide Section 8 housing?
The New Braunfels Housing Authority provides these services. They can be reached at (830) 625-6909.
5.
How do I apply for a grant?
CDBG grants are available to non-profit organizations. Applications are typically available in April of each year. For more information call (830) 221-4081.
