Beginning Monday, February 27th, 2023, the City of New Braunfels will begin work on County Line Road, from FM 1044 to FM 725. The project, which is expected to last approximately 5 months, will reconstruct that segment of County Line Road, including the removal and replacement of the existing pavement or milling and overlaying portions of the road surface.
As this project begins, the section of roadway from FM 1044 to Pahmeyer Road will be reduced from 5 lanes to 2 lanes, with one travel lane in each direction. That lane reduction is scheduled for approximately 3 months, with weather and other factors possibly affecting the timeline. During that time, crews will be removing and replacing the existing roadway due to the condition and age of the pavement.
The remaining work, on County Line Road from Pahmeyer Road to FM 725, includes milling and overlaying the road surface and is expected to last an additional 2 months, weather and other factors pending. The entire project is tentatively expected to be complete in mid-to-late summer of 2023.
