Officers began CPR until EMS arrived; however, life saving measures were unsuccessful and the suspect was pronounced deceased. Guadalupe County Justice of the Peace Sheryl Sachtleben was contacted and no autopsy was ordered.
The suspect has been identified as a 15-year-old male resident of New Braunfels and next of kin has been notified. The suspect was the only occupant of the vehicle. No officers were injured in this incident. The NBPD Traffic Unit and Criminal Investigations Division responded to the location to conduct the preliminary investigation.
