City Councilmember Shane Hines to Host Virtual District 1 Citizen Forum

Councilmember Shane Hines, the District 1 representative on New Braunfels City Council, will host a citizens forum on Tuesday, March 9th, at 6pm.

Due to the ongoing response to COVID-19, this forum will be held virtually using the Zoom online video conference platform.

The forum will begin with comments from Councilmember Hines followed by updates on a variety of District 1 and citywide topics including:

  • The Solms, Morningside, Rueckle road construction project
  • Construction of the new Police Department Headquarters and Veterans Memorial
  • Construction of Fire Station #2
  • The Westside Community Center library branch project
  • The addition of all-abilities amenities to Morningside Park
  • The San Antonio St. road construction project (from Spur to Krueger)

“This forum will feature updates on these projects from the city’s Capital Programs Manager Jennifer Cain,” said Councilmember Shane Hines. “My goal is to provide the residents of District 1 with the latest information on citywide projects, especially those that have an impact here in our district.”

The forum will conclude with a general question and answer session. To attend the virtual forum on Tuesday March 9th at 6pm, simply go to www.nbtexas.org/district1forum.
