[ARCHIVED] West San Antonio St. Road Construction Requires Temporary One-Way Traffic Pattern

Construction continues on the San Antonio Street Utility and Street Maintenance Project and will soon require a portion of West San Antonio Street to begin a temporary one-way traffic pattern.

On November 2nd, the portion of W. San Antonio St. from Krueger Ave. to Spur St. will only allow Eastbound traffic (from Krueger to Spur) for approximately 2 to 3 months, weather permitting.  Westbound traffic in that area will be detoured around the one-way traffic by using portions of N. Live Oak, W. Mill, N. Hidalgo, W. Katy, and S. Water Ln.

Once the work in this area is complete, W. San Antonio St. can return to two-way traffic and the contractor will then begin work on the remaining 10’ that was once the one-way only lane.  Along with the roadway work, this project also includes the installation of new sidewalks and concrete driveways.  Residents with property along this stretch of W. San Antonio St. will be notified in advance by the contractor prior to the driveway removal.  Driveways will generally take 3 days to install and cure before cars can be allowed to drive on them.

Residents who live and work along the area of this project will not be allowed to park on-street until the project is complete.  However, all mail delivery, trash pickup, and recycling pick-up will go on uninterrupted.
