A suspect in the homicide of 31-year old Stephan Fox of New Braunfels has been arrested and charged with Capital Murder. On Nov. 30th, the victim was found deceased inside a vehicle parked in the 100 block of North Mesquite Avenue. The investigation in that case has been ongoing, and after an extensive amount of evidence collection and interviews, Detectives were able to obtain a warrant for the arrest of 22-year old Koever Henke-Wommack of New Braunfels.
The investigation determined that the suspect and the victim had agreed to meet and that the suspect came to the meeting with the intention of robbing the victim. During the commission of the robbery, the suspect shot the victim multiple times and then fled the scene on foot. Henke-Wommack has been on the run since then. On Dec. 10th, agents from the US Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force located Henke-Wommack in Schertz and took him into custody without incident on an unrelated parole violation charge and he was transported to the Comal County Jail.
On today’s date (12-11-19), at approximately 11:30am, Detectives served an arrest warrant on Henke-Wommack while he was housed at the Comal County Jail. Due to the fact that the homicide happened during the commission of a robbery, the warrant charges Henke-Wommack with Capital Murder (TPC 19.03). Bond has been set at $250,000.
