The ongoing investigation into the May 22nd shooting in the 500 block of Ventura Drive by the New Braunfels Police Department Criminal Investigations Division has now led to a second arrest.
On July 16th, 2019, an arrest warrant was signed by a judge and served on 21-year old Christopher Amador of New Braunfels. Amador was taken into custody without incident at a business address in the 3000 block of West San Antonio St. and he was transported to the Comal County Jail. Amador was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a 2nd degree felony and bond was set at $75,000. As of this release, he remains in custody.
This is the second arrest made in connection with this case. As was previously released, an arrest warrant was served on June 3rd on 21-year old Chelsea Williams-Wallace of New Braunfels, also charging her with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon for her role in the shooting. Bond for Williams-Wallace was set at $100,000 and, as of this release, she also remains in custody.
The victim in this case, a 34-year old man from Guadalupe County, suffered a serious but not life-threatening gunshot wound to his arm and he has since been released from the hospital. The investigation into this case is ongoing by the NBPD Criminal Investigations Division and additional charges may be forthcoming.
