A 66-year old New Braunfels man was arrested this week on a charge of 1st degree felony Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Young Child.
On June 30th, 2018, the female victim (who is currently under the age of 14) made an outcry to a family member that she had been sexually assaulted a number of times during a one-year period between July of 2010 and July of 2011 when she was 6 and 7 years old. The family member reported the child’s outcry to the New Braunfels Police Department and NBPD Detectives immediately began investigating the case. That investigation then led to an arrest warrant for 66-year old Eusebio Rodriguez Martinez of New Braunfels.
On July 18, 2018, at approximately 6:30pm, the New Braunfels Police Department with the assistance of the US Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested Martinez at his home in the 1800 block of West Bridge Street in New Braunfels. Martinez was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the Comal County Jail where he was booked on a single charge of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Young Child, a 1st degree felony. Bond was set at $100,000 and, as of this release, Martinez remained in custody.
Investigators have reason to believe there may be additional victims, and they are urging any of those potential victims to come forward now by calling Detective Groff at 830-221-4167.
