Update: New Braunfels Police have made an arrest in the Bank Robbery of a Wells Fargo bank location....
UPDATE: On 05/24/17, following a thorough investigation, detectives with the New Braunfels Police Department obtained and served a search warrant on a residence in the 600 block of Creekside Way. Based on evidence obtained during that search warrant, an arrest warrant was issued and served at that same residence. 21-year old Casey James Wheatley of New Braunfels was taken into custody without incident and charged with Robbery. He was transported to the Comal County Jail where bond was set at $75,000. The investigation into this case remains open and ongoing, and further charges may be filed.

ORIGINAL RELEASE: On today’s date (05/19/2017), at approximately 9:07am, the New Braunfels Police Department responded to Wells Fargo in the 800 block of Loop 337 for a report of a bank robbery.
Officers arrived and learned that a white male had entered the bank, handed the teller a note demanding cash, and then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. No weapons were displayed and there were no injuries. The New Braunfels Police Department Criminal Investigations Division (CID) is currently investigating the case and further details will be released as the investigation continues.
