On May 2nd, 2017, at approximately 9:15pm, the New Braunfels Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Burger King restaurant located in the 200 block of I-35 North. The suspects are described as possibly black males wearing hoodies and bandanas to cover their faces. The suspects fled in a black or dark-colored passenger car. An employee of the restaurant began following the suspects onto I-35 North and called 911 to report the robbery. The employee pursued the suspects as they exited the highway at FM 306 and took the turnaround onto the I-35 South frontage road before turning onto Post Road. While traveling down Post Road, one of the suspects fired several shots from the moving car in the direction of the pursuing vehicle, and the employee stopped chasing the suspects. No injuries were reported from the shots that were fired. New Braunfels Police officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects or their vehicle.
