New Braunfels, Texas — On today’s date, at approximately 1:20pm, the New Braunfels Police Department served an arrest warrant for Murder in the 50 block of Mission Drive. 43-year old Jennifer Marie Coryell was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Comal County Jail on a single charge of 1st Degree Felony Murder. Per the arrest warrant, bond was set at $250,000.
Coryell’s arrest comes as the result of an investigation following the March 27, 2016, shooting death of her biological son, 17-year old Felix Antonio Nieves, at his home in the 2400 block of Dove Crossing. The victim’s step-father, 46-year old George Alexander Coryell, was arrested the day of the incident and was also charged with 1st Degree Felony Murder.
The cases against both George Coryell and Jennifer Coryell have been transferred to the Guadalupe County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution, therefore the New Braunfels Police Department will not be making any further comments at this time.
