Wednesday, September 11, 2019

On Wednesday, September 11th, in remembrance of the civilians, 343 firefighters and 60 police officers that perished in the World Trade Center attack, members of the New Braunfels Fire and Police Departments will hold a ceremony in downtown New Braunfels. Beginning at 7:35AM, the New Braunfels Fire and Police Departments Honor Guards will lead first responder personnel in a procession from the Central Fire Station (169 S. Hill Ave.) to the Main Plaza flag pole. The community is invited and welcomed to be a part of this event and may choose to walk with the procession or may congregate at Main Plaza. Citizens wishing to be a part of the procession are encouraged to meet at Central Fire Station by 7:30 a.m. or join the procession along the route, which will proceed from Hill Ave. to W. San Antonio St. and Main Plaza. At 7:46AM, commemorating when American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower, there will be a moment of silence and the Honor Guards will raise the American flag
