Message from the Mayor
Willkommen zum, Bienvenidos, New Braunfels! This beautiful place, founded by Prince Carl of Solms Braunfels, Germany 175 years ago, continues to be an oasis for those who love the outdoors, water recreation, and the diverse culture and heritage that has inspired so many to call it home.
It is with a grateful heart that I begin my service as Mayor of New Braunfels. This community has helped mold and shape my family for more than thirty years. A strong work ethic, community service and volunteer spirit, and an eagerness to welcome visitors and newcomers stand out as even more reason why our home is a special place to live, work, and play.
We are a community built on communicating, working with others in partnerships, collaborating on tough issues, and making the right decisions for now and for what lies ahead. A strong, vibrant New Braunfels in 2020 gives way to a successful and sustainable New Braunfels for the future.
As we work together to preserve our culture and heritage, it is important to build and support a strong economy. In doing so, jobs and wealth can be created. Protecting the environment and preserving the natural resources will assure this special place thrives for generations to come. Wise and healthy planning will certainly be important during this time of fast growth. As has been said, "Many hands make light work."
We will work with you and for you to keep this wonderful place special. Your ideas and input are important as tough decisions are made as we look to the future. I look forward to working with each of you as we revive our economy and restore our community.
May God bless each of you and may God bless New Braunfels!
