Virtual Court Information

The City of New Braunfels Municipal Court now offers a Virtual Court Appearance to dispose of your case via a video conference with the judge or prosecutor (depending on your plea) through the use of Zoom either on your computer or wireless device. It is highly recommended to test your equipment prior to your court date. You can do this at:

All dockets are virtual.  If you would prefer to appear in person or are uncomfortable utilizing technology/internet applications, you may come to the court at 550 Landa Street, New Braunfels, Texas as noticed to participate in your hearing. T

To Prepare for Your Hearing:

  • Submit your photo ID and docket or citation number to,
  • Include your PLEA to the violation(s): Guilty, Not Guilty or No Contest, and
  • Make sure you have a functioning camera and microphone or your laptop, desktop, tablet, or phone.                                   If you do not have internet access or a computer device, you may participate in your hearing at the court. 
  • Arrange for a location to participate in your hearing that is free from distraction. 

Technical Requirements to Appear via Virtual Court:

  • Device capable of accessing an internet connection (PC, MAC, Smart Phone, Tablet, etc.).
  • Fast and stable internet connection.
  • Webcam attached to your PC or a built-in camera on your device that will allow the Judge/Prosecutor to see you during the video conference.
  • Microphone connected or built-in mic that will allow you to talk to the Judge/Prosecutor 
  • Speakers attached or built-in that will allow you to hear what the Judge/Prosecutor is saying to you.
  • Stationary position from which to address the Judge/Prosecutor. You must sit or stand and remain focused on the video screen.  Do not participate in your hearing while driving, walking/pacing or in motion.

FAILURE TO APPEAR:  Virtual appearances are not optional and neglecting to appear will have the same consequences as not appearing at an in-person proceeding which includes increased fees and possible warrant issuance.
