About National Bike Month in the Alamo Region (from the AAMPO Bike Month website)

Established in 1956 by the League of American Bicyclists, National Bike Month is a chance to showcase the many benefits of bicycling — and encourage more folks to give biking a try. The Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (AAMPO) has coordinated National Bike Month programming for South Central Texas since 2018. In each of the past three years, hundreds of participants have turned out for National Bike Month events like Bike to Work Day, the Bike Beat festival and Street Skills classes. Before that, AAMPO hosted the Walk & Roll Rally, in conjunction with regional transportation partners, held annually in the spring for over two decades.

Here in New Braunfels, there are a number of upcoming events to celebrate all things cycling! So put on your helmets and head out for National Bike Month in New Braunfels!
