The New Braunfels Independent School District and the City of New Braunfels Police Department have teamed up to offer a new level of security for campuses across the district.
Students, parents, teachers, and staff will see a variety of security features throughout the school year, including the School Resource Officer (S.R.O.) program for the district’s Middle School and High School campuses.
This program is the result of a partnership between the NBISD and NBPD and provides a uniformed New Braunfels Police Officer on those campuses every single day of the school year. The funding for each officer and their equipment is 75% funded by the New Braunfels Independent School District with the additional 25% coming from the City of New Braunfels.
These officers’ daily duties include patrolling their respective campuses, providing a proactive law enforcement presence on the campus, and fostering positive relationships with students, teachers, and other campus staff.
