The City Secretary’s Office provides administrative support to the
City Council,
City Manager and staff. In conjunction with the City Manager’s Office, the Office of the City Secretary prepares and distributes all City Council
agenda packets, attends every meeting of the City Council and keeps accurate
minutes of the proceedings, accepts and validates petitions submitted by citizens, conducts the municipal elections, and coordinates the
recruitment and appointment of persons to the City's
boards and commissions.
