Curbside Recycling
Overview
City Council has approved city-wide distribution of blue 96-gallon recycle carts. A cart will be delivered to your home in early October 2010. The cart will replace the previously used 18-gallon bin. The 18-gallon bin is yours to keep or you may return it to the City Recycle Center. Collection from carts will begin the week of October 25, 2010. More information will be mailed to your homes soon.

Help us collect your recyclables by following these rules:
- Flatten boxes, rinse cotainers, & do not bag items - leave them loose in your cart
- Secure shredded paper in a paper bag & staple shut
- Become familiar with the "yes-no" list! Keep trash, Styrofoam, and plastic bags out
- Keep your cart five feet away from any obstacle, including your green waste bags
- Place your cart at the curb with the wheels and handle facing your home
- Place the cart out no earlier than 8 pm the day before collection
- Place the cart out no later than 6:30 am on the day of collection
