The Fischer Park Nature Education Center is now offering teachers an opportunity to earn Texas Environmental Education Advisory Committee (TEEAC) professional development credit while their students are on a field trip at Fischer Park.
“Fischer Park is excited to be approved as a TEEAC provider for teacher professional development hours through the Texas Environmental Education Advisory Committee with the Texas Education Agency,” said Sonja Mlenar, Recreation Supervisor. “Having this status is a nice credential for our field trip programming. Our goal is to give teachers the tools and training they need to incorporate more environmental education in the classroom. We’re excited that we get to do this dual credit program so that teachers and their students will be able to learn together at the same time.”
Teachers of all experience levels are eligible to receive three hours of credit towards the TEEAC certificate of recognition.
