Residents are encouraged to drop off their bulky items such as mattresses, sofas, and other large materials from 8am-noon.
Drop off bulky items at Waste Management’s Comal County Landfill at 1000 Kohlenberg Road or at one of the City’s four drop-off sites:

Tires, appliances, and scrap metal will only be accepted at the City’s four drop-off sites. These items will be recycled. There is a limit of ten passenger car tires without rims per household.
Green waste such as yard clipping, brush, and branches will not be accepted but can be taken to the Comal County Facility at 4755 W. Hwy 46 for mulching.
Appliances containing Freon (ie refrigerators and air conditioners) will not be accepted.
Household hazardous waste such as paints, pesticides, motor oil, batteries, and solvents will not be accepted.
Electronics will not be accepted.
The Free Bulky Goods Drop-Off is a service provided to New Braunfels residents who pay the City’s residential garbage fee. Residents must bring their current utility bill and a picture ID to participate in the service.
