Kennel Comforters at the Library

The Library is hosting a monthly sewing time for Kennel Comforters on the 4th Friday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Kennel Comforters use donated materials to create beds for cats and dogs at the New Braunfels Humane Society.

“We heard about a group of volunteers sewing beds for the
animal shelter and decided this would be a great opportunity to support the NewBraunfels Humane Society,” commented Toni Davenport, Adult Services
Librarian.
“These beds not only providecomfort while the animals are in the shelter, but when they go home with their
new families, the pets keep the bed for their new lifelong homes as well.”

“If you have a sewing machine, you can bring it to helpsew.  If you don’t have a sewing machine,
the volunteers can still use your help preparing materials for the beds.
No need to sign up - just show up,” Davenportsaid.

This program is free, open to the public and no registration
is necessary.
