City officials are encouraging residents to acquire their free Resident River Pass before the 2017 tubing season begins. New Braunfels citizens, who reside inside the corporate city limits, can receive the Resident River Pass at no charge to avoid paying
the $2 River Management Fee
charged to non-residents. The fee will be implemented on Saturdays,
Sundays and holidays from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day on the Comal
River and Guadalupe River inside the city limits.
Residents may obtain their pass at the Parks and Recreation Administrative
Office, Landa Recreation Center or the Parks Operation Modular in Landa Park at
any time during normal business hours, as listed below:
& Recreation Administrative Office - Monday through Friday - 8:00am -
Operation Modular (Landa Park) - Monday through Friday - 8:00am - 5:00pm
Recreation Center - Monday through Friday - 9:00am - 6:00pm and Saturday -
9:00am - 12:00pm
addition, residents may obtain their Resident River Pass during any of the
following extended hours at the Landa Recreation Center, located at 164 Landa
April 17th through Friday, April 21st 9am-7pm
May 15th through Friday, May 19th
Residents must provide a valid driver’s license or proof of residency to receive the free
pass. Children without a valid
photo ID or driver’s
license must come in with a parent or guardian
in order to verify residency.
The pass is good for one season, from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day.
