If you are reporting that a firearm has been stolen, you must make that report in person at the Police Department (1488 S. Seguin Ave.) or by calling (830) 221-4100.

Police reports submitted online are treated the same as reports written by officers.  Once you submit your report you will receive a message on the screen confirming that y
our online police report has been submitted.  You will also be given a police report case number and you will be able to print a copy of the police report to keep for your records.
Please Note:
  • Crimes or incidents reported online must have occurred within the city limits of New Braunfels
  • All cases filed using the online reporting system will be reviewed.
  • Upon review, if further investigation of your case is warranted, you may be contacted by the police department.

Evidence:

If you have evidence to support your police report (like documents, photos, videos, or other recordings) you will be given a prompt during the report-writing process to upload those files.  When/if that evidence is needed by an officer or prosecutor, you will be contacted directly.

If you are filing a Financial Crime report:

These types of crimes can often take weeks or months to investigate and are often delayed while detectives attempt to get information from financial institutions that you (as the victim) can get within days.  Download this checklist so you can gather all of the information needed by detectives BEFORE you file your online report.  And remember:  Credit/Debit Card Abuse and Forgery reports must be filed in the jurisdiction where the offense occurred.

If you are filing a Harassment report:

Harassment is defined by the Texas Penal Code (TPC 42.07) as contact of an offensive nature by phone, in person, or by electronic communication.  Harassment is considered a Class B Misdemeanor.  Download this Harassment Report Form and complete it AFTER you file your online report.
