Prince Solms Park is home to the City Tube Chute. The City Tube Chute is a water slide carved into the side of the City’s dam on the Comal River. It diverts tubers around the dam as they float the river. It is an exhilarating ride that attracts tubers from all around the area and is the longest of its kind in the world. Admission: Free Head over to the Prince Solms Park for something a little different; a game of Disc Golf! The nine hole course has a length of 1,808 feet and winds through the scenic park and along the Comal River.
Disc Golf Rules:
Play the course from the beginning to end in the fewest throws.
Tee throws must be release from within the designated area.
The spot where the disc lands.
Lowest score on previous hole tees first. After tee-off the player whose lie is farthest from the target throws first.
Must be made from on the lie. A run-up and follow through is permitted.
Within 10 yards of the target a player may not step past the lie when making a putt throw.
Completion of Hole
The hole is complete when the disc is in the basket or supported by chains.
Out of Bounds
A throw that lands out of bounds must be played from the point where the disc went out (1 throw penalty). During tournament play, all roadways will be considered out of bounds.
Do not throw until the players ahead of you are out of range.
