Legacy Tree Program

A Great Honor

The City of New Braunfels residents are dedicated individuals who care immensely about our parks. One way to continue to enhance them is by planting trees. Tree planting is necessary on an annual basis to replace those lost to insects, disease, storms, drought and age related decline.

The funds received through the Legacy Tree Program are used to purchase and plant new trees. Each tree purchased will be hand selected with the help of the city Urban Forester and strategically placed in one of the 27 city parks - encouraging a diverse and healthy urban forest. Plantings will occur November through March and donations begin at $250.

Civic organizations may wish to dedicate trees as a living tribute to outstanding employees or citizens. Alternately, you may also donate a park bench as part of this initiative.

Please contact Kelly Eby, Urban Forester, for further details about this wonderful program! 830-221-4359.
